Featuring Little Greene - Barry Spence
Artist, Barry Spence uses the Little Greene palette for his various artworks. These include a diverse range of projects, from smaller canvas, wood panel and board commissions to painting prominent geographical features, such as a Manchester Bee and a Manchester Book Bench.
Little Greene has featured in many of Barry's projects, from the iconic Manchester Bee, to artworks in Australia, France, USA and Saudi Arabia (including one in the Saudi Royal Palace).
In this recent work, Barry says that he challenged himself "to pick up random pots and have to use them somewhere in an unplanned and spontaneous frenzy. The result I think is really quite remarkable when you realise this. I think this is how certain pieces look rather ethereal and otherworldly.Barry Spence
'Frooti Tooti'
This piece, 'Frooti Tooti', was created solely with the use of Little Greene paints. Barry's most utilised colours are Deep Space Blue, Light Bronze Green and the ever popular Jack Black. To create accents and bold focal points in his works, he uses bold brights such as Mambo, Thai Sapphire, Atomic Red and Marigold.
Barry shared, "The paints are perfect for my creations as they have such wonderful hues that I can either use straight out of the pot or mix together."
