1950s Paint
Pigment discoveries brought a new vibrancy to 1950s paint colours that had not been seen before, and at a price everyone could afford. The era heralded the beginning of a new wave in decoration, enabled by the invention of synthetic pigments. A fashion revolution started during the 1950s, which revolutionised the way we think about colour in decoration, right through to the present day. Particular colours of note from our 1950s paint selection are Orange Aurora teamed with Stone Pale Warm, and Citrine paired Portland Stone. These are both statement colours wherever they appear, yet, through their complexity, they can combine with humbler neutrals in style.
